September sun really started roughly 2001... and never really got serious till 2003/4 after many member changes around the original 3 members We self financed the recording of our album ' Low Engine Angel ' ....in 2005 which took about a year to finish due to all kinds of crazy things happening..including the studio's hardrive wiping out half the songs!! so it was recorded on and off for a while..... We 've gigged most Dublin Venues...headlining gigs at The music centre, Dorans , Voodoo Lounge, Sugar club , the Hub, and Launched the album in the Village in June '06..... we also played the odd gig in Kilkenny, Carlow and mullingar we went on to win the Captain America's battle of the bands in 2006 At the moment things are sort of on hold so we hope to finish recording our newer stuff soon... which is the main goal at the moment.. Influences range from the pumpkins, Tool, deftones, redneck manifesto, king crimson to the cure..... we actually do our own version of an Italian rock song on the album...we named it 'Fluxus' after the band... |
